Joe Kosinski
Director, Anonymous Content
Joseph Kosinski's work represents a fusion of skills stemming from his background in architecture, design, engineering, and music.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and design from Stanford University, Kosinski chose to pursue a Masters in Architecture at Columbia University. There he was introduced to many of the same digital tools used by major visual effects houses at the time. Upon graduating from Columbia in 1999, Kosinski co-founded KDLAB, a Tribeca-based multidisciplinary design firm, where he designed and directed a number of award-winning digital short films, as well as commercials for corporate sponsors including Nike, Siemens and Nintendo.
In September 2004, his work was singled out by the highly prestigious Young Guns Awards, the only major advertising award for designers and directors under the age of 30. In 2005 he was featured in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase in Cannes. He currently resides in Los Angeles. |
