Grant Hill
Global Production Director, DDB Chicago Inc.
Grant joined DDB Chicago in 1982 as Vice President, Executive Producer. In this role, he led production on Anheuser-Busch, Clorox, Dial and General Mills. In 1985, DDB Chicago established a new position, Director of Broadcast Production and asked Grant to fill it. In this role, Grant elevated the quality of broadcast production activities with an emphasis on value and quality. He was named Senior Vice President in 1986.
In 1996, Grant was asked to manage print production and was named Executive Production Director. He was then named Executive Vice President in 1997. He currently works with every client at DDB Chicago.
In the summer of 2005, Grant broadened the scope of production for DDB Chicago by asking that all broadcast producers embrace the new media platforms and be innovators in all forms of motion production. He calls this idea branded production, which is any kind of production beyond broadcast production.
Grant has always believed that the production process should be fully integrated in the creative process. For that reason, all of DDB's print broadcast and branded producers sit amongst their creative groups.
Grant has a Masters Degree in Film from Northwestern University. He is known in the industry as being highly effective in developing new talent, something he considers the lifeblood of the department.
