In April 2003, Richard left Zomba to establish Leap Music Ltd, a joint venture with advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), the UK's first music publisher inside an advertising agency. Since inception, Leap has expanded to four people (including A&R) with a client roster of 15 ad agencies in UK, Mainland Europe and USA. Leap-published titles have appeared in campaigns for Levis, Axe, Baileys, Audi, KFC & many more. Leap also carries out music searches (especially in the unsigned band market) and broker synch deals for its growing client roster. In May 2005, Leap Masters was launched as a subsidiary company to acquire copyright in sound recordings.
