Jerry Spivack

Jerry Spivack A Co-Founder of Ring of Fire, Jerry brings enormous energy to his role as Creative Director for the company. Jerry met his partner and Ring of Fire Executive Producer John Myers when both were collaborating on various commercial and television projects during 1994 as freelance independents. The duo helped launch Ring of Fire in June, 1996.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Jerry earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mass Communication Television Production from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. While in college, he gained valuable experience in production and post production as a full-time staffer for the local PBS television station.

Upon graduation, Jerry continued his career in Chicago at a leading post production house. Following a three-year stint in Chicago, Jerry made the move West to be one of the first artists to introduce the Quantel Harry to the Los Angeles community. Jerry was on the forefront of the industry's digital revolution, which began in the late 1980s. Jerry mastered Quantel's Paintbox and Harry while collaborating with a loyal group of television and commercial clients.

In 1989, Jerry formed his own company Jerry Spivack, Inc., positioning himself as an independent Visual Effects Supervisor/Senior Henry Artist. During those years, Jerry completed high-end commercials for Lexus, AT&T, America Online, Levis, Coldwell Banker and Pepsi-Cola. Jerry's television credits include Emmy Award-winning titles for "ER," and Emmy-nominated titles for "Chicago Hope.” In addition, Jerry further diversified his services by designing and compositing numerous music videos and television shows, including ABC's "Lois and Clark, The New Adventures of Superman" and "In Concert.”

As the Creative Director for Ring of Fire, Jerry oversees every project for the leading-edge digital effects and design studio. Since launching Ring of Fire, Jerry has surrounded himself with a team of artists who mirror his passion for the creative process and bring their own unique talents to the table.

Jerry has a special appreciation for his collaboration with directors, ad agency creatives, editors, and Ring of Fire digital compositors and animators, participating in every aspect of production from developing story boards, designing shooting techniques, on-set supervision, off-line editorial, as well as following through to final execution and delivery.

Under Jerry's leadership, the Ring of Fire team has collaborated with some of the industry’s most innovative directors, including Tim Burton, Bryan Singer, Paul Boyd, Craig Henderson, Mike Bigelow, Charles Wittenmeier, Bob Giraldi, Wayne Isham, Mark Coppos, Phil Morrison, Robert Black, dom & nic, Richard Taylor, Peter Care, Erich Joiner, Leslie Dektor, and David Jellison.

Ring of Fire continues to produce CGI character development and animation, motion graphics design, and digital compositing for commercials, television, music videos, and feature films.
