Nancy Hill
Nancy is President of Hill, Holliday (San Francisco). In addition to managing a team of 90 incredibly
talented individuals, Nancy oversees responsibility for major accounts such as Cisco Systems, Veritas
Software, Red Roof Inns, Togo’s Eateries, Inc., and Beringer Blass Wine Estates. She also leads the
agency’s Business Development efforts.
Prior to joining Hill, Holliday, Nancy was Director of Client Services with Citron Haligman Bedecarre where she oversaw the development of campaigns for SONY, PowerBar, Perrier and Ore-Ida.
For six years before moving to San Francisco, Nancy was with TBWA/Chiat/Day. First, in St. Louis as
Director of Client Service with primary responsibility for U S WEST’s successful data services launch and then in Los Angeles as Group Account Director on AirTouch Cellular. In addition to her day-to-day
account responsibilities, Nancy gained extensive international experience as part of the New Business
SWAT team, which helped TBWA offices with pitches and presentations worldwide.
The first 11 years of Nancy’s agency experience came at Doner Baltimore. Nancy worked on virtually
every piece of business in that office during her tenure, including McCormick/Schilling spices, Klondike Ice Cream Bars, ERA Real Estate, Budget Rent A Car, Commercial Credit, Mid-Atlantic Milk Board and The National Fish and Seafood Promotional Council. Nancy’s involvement with Bell Atlantic Mobile
spanned almost the entire 11-year period. She started with the launch of the second cellular market
in the United States when DC “turned on” in the early 80s, helped manage the brand through three
mergers and finally, developed the original campaign featuring James Earl Jones, who remains a
spokesperson for the newly merged entity, Verizon, 10 years later.
Nancy started her professional advertising career on the client side, working for an OEM supplier to the recording industry and still believes that this experience gives her a unique perspective on client issues.
