David Van Eyssen

David Van Eyssen Since 1999, David van Eyssen has been creating some of the most progressive cross-media advertising for agencies, independent clients, and the music industry. Collaborating with leading agency creatives as writer, co-creative director and director, he has pioneered the "branded entertainment campaign", delivering advertiser-integrated content across television, web and disc formats.

As an evangelist of "advertising as entertainment," David was invited to address the Fallon AGM in 2000 and became, subsequently, one of the principal architects the Fallon 2001 BMW campaign, "The Hire". He was also involved in a number of other projects with the agency, developing new forms of branded programming.

Brought to the attention of the LA production community by his chilling interactive project "M" and web-series prototype "The Passenger", David was hired by Propaganda Films to direct spots and music-videos. He independently secured his first client, the web-streaming entertainment portal, Digital Entertainment Network, and acted as the company’s one-man agency. David wrote and directed a multi-spot branding campaign and developed a broadband, e-commerce website to raise capital for the start-up and, in three months, was instrumental in raising many millions of dollars from investors and national brands.

In 2000, while directing broadcast and broadband advertising, he co-founded iBelieve Media, a cross-media commercial production company in Los Angeles.

Most recently, to launch the Warners/Extasy band, sub-bionic, David developed a non-traditional strategy for music promotion. Designed as a rock-opera for the Net Generation, "BluMonster" is a series of linked interactive music videos streamed in broadband and also distributed as broadcast content/disc media. The single largest broadband campaign for a new act, "BluMonster" contains over 40 minutes of filmed and interactive content and is supported by the distribution of over 30,000 CD-ROMs. "BluMonster" was conceived, written and directed by David and is housed at the artist website www.subbionic.com.

David’s independently produced "Peace Poem," a commemorative response to the September 11 attack, has garnered critical acclaim and may be seen at www.stonetiger.com/peacepoetry.

In conjunction with CAA, Stone Tiger Entertainment is a UK and US based entertainment marketing company that provides David’s creative and strategic services.
