Greg Caplan Greg Caplan co-founded Final Cut - a London-based editorial company with award winning editor Rick Russell in February 1995, a year after founding Clear - a post production boutique based in Soho, London.

Final Cut became the first editorial company to span the Atlantic with the opening of a New York office in May 2000. Linked together with wam!net and broadband lines, Final Cut’s two offices are in effect seamless, with each editor able to access his or her material regardless of which office they are in, and administrative functions operating over a VPN.

Today Final Cut boasts a roster of 13 editors spread between London and New York, and has edited award winning work for Directors including Vaughan Arnell, Daniel Barber, Fredrik Bond, Chris Cunningham, Doug Nichol, Medhi Norowzian, Chris Palmer, Jake Scott, Traktor and others. Agencies worked for include BBH, Cliff Freeman & Partners, Fallon, Mother, WCRS and Weiden & Kennedy. Award winning campaigns include work for Levis, Orange, Volkswagen, Adidas, Mercedes Benz and Reebok.

Music Videos are also a very important part of Final Cut’s work, with a back catalogue of over 300 music videos including groundbreaking work for Madonna, George Michael, Bjork, and Robbie Williams. For the last 5 consecutive years, the best music video at the BRIT awards has been edited by a Final Cut Editor.

Combining creative editing with a forward thinking technical outlook has made Final Cut one of the most highly respected editorial companies in the world today.

Clear has built a strong reputation for innovative work with eclectic directors - creating the widely acknowledged effects for Robbie Williams’ Rock DJ for Vaughan Arnell and currently working on a new feature film for Danny Boyle.
